Etihad Airways Doubles Flights from/to Manchester

Etihad Airways has announced to offer double daily flights from Manchester airport UK. The Middle Eastern airline stated on March 07, 2011 in its official press release that it will double daily flights between Manchester and Abu Dhabi from August 01, 2011.

The carrier further exclaims in its notification that this increased service will not only mean more flights to Abu Dhabi but also opens up more of Etihad’s long haul flight network. The airline offers flights to Asia, Australia, Africa and Middle East. Its most important networks include flights to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Bangkok, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and London.

The airline stated in its official press release “This latest development is testament to Etihad’s commitment to the North West of England, and to the ever-growing demand for business and leisure travel out of the region.”

Under the new schedule, Etihad airways flight number EY016 will depart from Manchester at 0925 and arrive Abudhabi at 1940. The second flight number EY022 will depart from Manchester at 2105 and arrive Abu Dhabi at 0720 the next day.

On the way back, Etihad’s flight number EY015 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 0235 and arrive Manchester at 0730 and second flight number EY021 will depart at 1010 and arrive Manchester at 1505 seven days a week.

This follows on from the opening of the Etihad Airways Business Class Lounge in December and the ongoing partnership with Manchester City Football Club.
